Doggies this Festive Season!

A set of doggy illustrations done for a number of local fetes. Some great fun designs! I really love drawing them ^^

Hercules & Teddy

Doggy character designs and also further development ready for me opening pet portrait (or rather, caricature) commissions! I shall soon be reopening regular commissions, along with fugly ones. Hooray! There are also many more animals coming this way. I love drawing dogs! The poodle is Hercules strutting his stuff: I've always loved the idea of male poodles, something about it has such character and personality, I've been keeping note of it while walking Teddy, one of my dogs. Speaking of which, Teddy is here too in all of his fluffy adorable glory - he was great fun to draw, I think I really captured his personality.

Shiver me' Timbers!

Been preparing more human designs for my portfolio. This is Amour rebooted - in the original designs a few years ago my bonny lass was an alien, with delightful green skin and pink hair. I gave her a new look here, as a more well noted pirate (as opposed to her alien space pirate get up from before). I wasn't sure at first but really quite like it now. Still looks like her after all :) A before and after sketch/coloured in photoshop cs6.

Satyr Costume

Me and my friend began costume making. I have done it a few times in the past, but needed a good pal to help with the measuring and sewing and sawing and stuffing and...well, its a two man job! So here is the first satyr costume I have made, complete with shoes legs and fluffy bum tail. Tutorial soon to come!

Sketches

Sketches and works in progress. My Masters film, Reign, is finished now and I have gathered up all manner of sketches as I prepare to move. Now begins project 'Clockwork Cat', my pitch idea. Prepare for many images of a similar theme...yet to be revealed!

Summer doodles

A couple of doodles this summer - anthro characters are quite popular, so I had my own attempt at making some. The border collie was a request for someone, but the goat is one I made earlier - he likes to paint, haha!

Hybrid Concept

Further conceptual hybrid characters. This one may even be an exotic pet or king in his world. Anatomy based on human/distorted capuchin monkey, and a bit of dog.

Cloot Piggies

"Well, I think you're beautiful."

After all, we can't all be leggy, horsey centaurs, now can we?  I wanted to do something in my side project 'Cloot' that showed what a world full of quad people could be like. Anything hoofed could exist, and nothing is too weird or ugly. In this case, I think the piggies are my favourites! (well, aside from the llama taur, of course).

Sleep

Pan meets Nature in the Spring as a child, and they become friends and fall in love in Summer. By Autumn Nature starts to become old, and in Winter, she dies. Pan stays with her, sleeping at her side, and dies with her - when Spring returns they are reborn and meet and fall in love over again. No matter how many times they forget one another, his sacrifice at her side in Winter means that they will always meet again.

I got told this story when I was young, and thought it would be something to paint over the Christmas season. Pan was the trees and forest, while Nature was the sky and moon. It's nearly Spring now so I suppose it's still relevant.

Watercolour and Ink painting.

Llama

I figured that if centaurs did exist in some world or another, then other hoofed people would as well. As part of a fun brief I made for myself, nicknamed project 'Cloot' I'm drawing different centaur characters based on other animals people may disregard as 'ugly' for the centaur role. But lets face it. Hoofed animals are spectacular in all of their differing qualities - if they spit, frolic or roll in mud, what more characteristics could you hope to play with?
This is Ferdinand, a llama centaur. I know he's not quite right for a llama - he could be pudgier, this is more of an underweight llama to be fair. I drew him in a lecture, after the idea coming from my sketch of 'Puck'. Puck isn't really any sort of creature, just a mash of donkey, cow and goat. But I still love his ears <3 Look out for more Cloot characters!

Dale and Puck

WIPS of work from 'Tailbone' and also a fun side centaur project. Meet Puck - a goatling, cow like centaur. The other chap is Dale from my short story available on wattpad - and he is picking on poor Miles! I wanted to try and capture events from the novel.

Axolotl plushie

A plushie I made for a friend - his pet axolotl, named Asparagus. Cute and fun thing to make :)

Gold [revised painting]

Gold so far. I may revisit the shading on him and the lighting on the chains, though for now, I was pleased with progression. I have been advised to use less and broader strokes next time, so I will take that into account. I am also currently writing the Tailbone prequel, wherein this character features. Please visit Tailbone on Wattpad - http://www.wattpad.com/story/2095923-tailbone to leave any reviews or critique. It will soon be heading to kindle, too!
